4-SHICK-T!

dont even think about it.
the first one is my pad. surp.
cant a guy just relax and listen to Notting Hill Soundtrack? the answer, most definately not.

I went on a good little forest stroll today, trudgin through this beautiful white water stuff, freezing my tail off, i fell into a trance a clearing. felt real nice, i also did some Volunteering for this guy of which cannot remember his name, something that sounds like Hollywood. we had a nice discussion about what kind of music you should allow your children to listen to, and also about a band he likes called "The Presets" out of Auz, ill have to look em up.

God Bless Forests.

Just Turn Her Into A Bug. Or A Horse With A Shirt On.

I didnt take these photos, but i know the people who did.
Next to me are Tulips, Next to you is a Plate.

I went and did a small bit of hiking around Bøveien today, followed a river, listened to feels, climbed in a tree house, got bitten by a digging horse, and breathed the good air, i got lost, but i found my way home, when my ipod ran out of batts, and my stomache rememberd something id overlooked, that i hadnt eaten yet.
so i went over to the computer listened to Ben Folds, and ate some homemade bread, then i proceeded to move a very small pile of wood somewhere in the dining room.
i should go forest walking again, before it gets dark, in one hour. yeah its 2 oklok.

duh,

IM GOING.

this is my sentiments exactly:

"Neon Bible is a message more to the people of God, rather than God Himself, because we are the ones who have mis-communicated the gospel or not demonstrated love with truth. In fact the God in the Bible is everything that His people are not. So how can people believe that there is hope and freedom in the grace of God’s Word when they have only felt condemnation and judgment? Or that Jesus Christ is worth knowing and worshipping when they would not want to even be friends with the Christians they know"

I really have grown to love Arcade Fire.

Im living in an age whose name i dont know.

Haape and the story of the anxious faces in wood grain.

Im Too Excited. i dont even know if i can go.

But...

the last days ive lived have been, random.
very.
I've been shooting craps at Sentral Stasjon with 6 mexican girls, and walking over a foggy bridge in slacks and slicked hair.

running all over this town, (literally), can really wear you out. i went to bed last nite at 11 woke up at 8:30 talked for two hours/listened to WNYC, and then fell back asleep until 1:30. My plan is to un-amp my schedule for a day or two. Then of course on Wednesday, well i just tell you then.

I have now a Mexican neklace and a pair of hand knit Norsk socks, which i am currently wearing.
i love the idea, that something makes a great gift , or a memorable gift just because it means something to someone. like a norwegian 1 NOK coin. something seen as the littlest thing, can be a horcrux of memories.

i want to get my DNA tested
and find out exactly what percentage of me is asian, african, native american so on...
could be a great Christmas Present.

My dear friend and colleague is now once again far away. me and Espen parted with high expectations for our futures.
i hope the photos turn out.. since my digital camera has broken and all ive had is two disposibles with 4 or so pictures left on each.

Get creative, youll never regret it.

Captial Glance. Steel Wool Toilet Paper Puts Me To Sleep. Monserud, a small area. Eternitvei.

Dear Zoe Keating,

i think you are very talented, you are a true innovator, and an inspired cellist.
I rode a rickety open aire construction elevator.
I sing to myself and the people think im nuts.
I somehow manage to find some konsert venue in a backalley over a river.
Its the foggiest place in the world.
I love Oslo.

it been really great so far, im really fortunate to be able to find some people who will help me out and take me in, also that i found some friends around here, its a fluke really.
Oslo is very different than i thought it would be,
vey unorganized sort of place, very tough to get oriented i think, buts its got this amazing charm, like they say, Oslo really is a small town.
WNYC puts me into dreamlund. and keeps me happy. i recomend it to all people who want to shoegaze, whatever that even means.
Im pretty excited for my tiime here, im getting the buss schedule down, and learning that life with Mormons is a life i enjoy, singing hymns to myself and having no shame in doing it.

Not Capulet, not Frisør, not Scream, not Madonna with Circle eyes.

Hello Earth, aka Jorden.
I somehow became a missionary again. thats right folken, im teaching all day long, riding busses, drinking cider in cafes with carbon output offsetting traders, praying, knocking, asking, laughing and dont ask me how, but loving everysecond of it.
I was stranded and these blokes took me in, i sleep in an attic with a mural painted on the walls and a skylight with a view of the waterfront and the colourful and beautiful homes. so far, ive hung out with two africans, ate a phillipino feast in a basement on a hill, ate food found in a bag on the bus, somehow met a girl on the bus who is from utah, and isnt mormon, not to mention im with an elder that is from dannys old ward (world class skier extraordinaire, Andy Phillips) and a guy that used to work at TKJ with me.
Brilliant. just Brilliant.
the language is coming along, and im now understanding a small percentage of conversations. last nite we taught a guy from Burma, is it Burma or Bhutan in which there is gross national happiness? i asked him and he had no clue what the heck i was talking about.
anyways, today is PACKED with lessons, and im hitting it up all day, i really am in awe at the series of events which led me to this odd placement.
thanks for the emails, i love them, danny sounds right good, i painted him a couple of pictures this morn and wrote him a solid 4 pager last nite, love that guy, and remember everyone, dont be judgemental with people who dont use proper language.

Jeg elsker deg. all of you,

i have. STOLTHET & FORDOM. (on dvd)

nite of zombies.

I learned a new phrase...

*nice is the little brother of shi+.
it means that when you say someone is just nice.. or okay, then nice is just a little less than crappy. Compliments of Katja, and an all day strawberry picking conversation.

music...
here is a song i have been listening to relentlessly.

Idaho - Josh Ritter

yes it may sound to those that i love the great American west. and youd be right. but rather than this place making me miss it, it just remindsme of it. theres just something really alot better about taking down hundreds of fence posts in a wind storm, when listening to Josh Ritter in your oir`s, staring out at the sea and ocean liners backed by single standing pinetrees and red wood houses.... ahhh.
even pigs stop smelling like ammonia and hævy feces, when the ritter comes on, makes it seem rustic and worth it...
but unfortuately my ipod died, two minutes into work.

today i scowerd the coast for a decent place to dive in, to no avail im afraid.

Fredag og Lørdag i have some great stuff instore. ill tell you after the fact. should be one hell of a wekkend.

The First Desent into Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway, Scandinavia, Europe, Earth.

dearly beloved.

today was my first day off. (not really)
i woke up pretty late (8:00) resting with a full 10 hrs of sleeping. i love this idea, you just go to bed really early, and somehow nature works out that you wake up early and your not that tired either. Brilliant!
Eventually after me putting my engineering to work (building a 7 tall foot lego fortress) we were all reved up and ready to go. Fide, (au pair) her brother stopped in late at nite yester, for a surprise visit. Nils, great guy, and by great i mean, he cant say snoopy correctly.
he will be here for 2 weeks, hanging round. siggin out.
also andre (another) new arrival Katja, she is from Deustchland. Cologne to be exact. and she is a worker such as myself. really top notch person, and self proclaimed METAL HÆD! awesome.
we got hold of a Benz hatchback and bustled our four selves into Stavanger for the day, visiting all the tourist attractions. Oilmeusem, skatepark made of old oil rig parts ( where i did some kikflips og such) and some really great thrift shops and a couple skate\surf shops one of which was called Sh#t ,,,,litterally. for anyone that knows me, they know i was quite appalled by this rubbish, and gave the manager a piece of my mind.

i also got the number for the local guru of surf at Jæren. not to mention spoke with some babes at the surf shop and winked at them for good measure.
well tommorow is church and i suppose im going to have to drive all the way there.
a bit out of the way, but from experience i know that foreign church is an irreplaceable thing. for being a free day i acutally worked alot. i weighed all the sheep and wrote measurments deciding wether they were fit to be slaughterfied. so needless to say alot of sheep handling went down, i smacked alot of sheep booty, trying to get them to move from place to place. we also had to herd these sheep all over the place... yeah..

then after a quick meal, i fed the pigs, and hand mixed buckets of rotten fist guts and heads with oats, potatoes and soggy bread.

now here i am. writing a saga.
jeg elsker dig guys over there.

हे, उम वहत इस गोइंग ओं,

the title is only letting me write it in hindi or something like it. well this is officially the begining of my digital scribbles about my time here in Randaberg, Rogaland, Norway. I am living here for the space of about two months, living with a young farming family, helping them with their daily work, learning about the culture and people of Norway and hopefully learning a bit more about this little guy called the life. Today i just chilled out, im getting adjusted and figuring out how my body got here, and how im going to do everything.
